Welcoming 2024

Hello.

It has been over a year since I wrote a blog. May 2022 in fact was the last time I logged in and put thoughts to keyboard.

There are several reasons for this, but the main one being I didn’t have the time or the energy to write, and I felt like I didn’t have much to say anyway.
Someone said to me today “are you feeling revived and ready for 2024?”. My honest answer is no. I am feeling very bruised walking into 2024. Yet, I realise, I am walking in feeling hopeful. Hopeful for the first time in a long time.

So, we are walking into 2024 gently, with kindness and care, holding all the lessons we have learnt from 2023 as we stride into the people we will become over the next 12 months.

These following words are for us (G&A) - they may resonate with you - they may not, they may inspire you to think about your own way to welcome in the year ahead and set an intention of what you want to feel this year.
But, for now here are our words and our thoughts, Life is a constant journey, welcome 2024.

Let go of that illusion of control, be free of all others expectations and opinions. Remember to move within the flow. Life is chaotic, random and at times really hard. Surrender to those feelings, find your own peace within and flow through it, with it.
Pay attention to the moments - big and small which make up your life. Remember to celebrate, celebrate the small and huge wins - each has its place and each is deserving of celebration. Help those moments shine.

Don’t forget to take in and do more or the things which fill you up and warm your soul; walks on the coastline, sunrises and sunsets, the wind on your skin or the rise and fall of the seasons. Fully appreciate and feel all that is good in your life, in the present, let them be your anchoring. Remember you once dreamed of being and having what you have right now.

Spend your time wisely, it is the greatest gift we have to give. Spend it with those who inspire, energise, and lift you up. Fully accept you in all forms, and help you to accept those versions of yourself too.

Move your bodies in a way which feels good, and strong. Remember to thank your body for all that it does, and manages to do. Nourish it, value it, love it. Invest in yourself, you will never regret doing so. Remember that feelings are meant to be felt, and a life lived experiences them all. You are, and always have been enough.

Live in a way which lights you up and you are proud of.
Love big and generously
Laugh openly and loudly

Live in hope.
